Keating Mud Jacking was started by Paul Keating in Topeka, KS in 1977. Paul designed and built a unique mud jacking pump that is capable of pumping long distances, allowing the equipment to remain in the street instead of dragging it through the homeowner's yards. This pump also allowed the mud jacking crew to be reduced from 3 or 4 to just 2 men. The savings was then passed on to the customers and Keating Mud Jacking was a big success.
Paul’s brother Maurice Keating opened Keating Mud Jacking and Concrete Inc. in Kansas City in 1988. While they are two separate and individual companies, Maurice uses the same pump designed by Paul. Maurice has enjoyed the same success in Kansas City serving thousands of home owners in the Greater Kansas City area.
